11 Picks of the Best Women’s Watches Under $1000

Every woman deserves to have a luxury watch – or a luxury-looking pick from a high-quality manufacturer, at least – in their collection. That informed our research into what would be the best women’s watches under $1000 and what makes them so.

Coming up with this list of watches has been fun in itself.

We had to remove the popular fashion brands from our search parameters as they have a funny way of inflating their prices. We, instead, went for the established brands that have a promise of quality and high-standard of manufacture around them.

During the search, we also came across those watches like the Movado Connect 2.0 and Fossil Gen 4 Venture HR which promised additional features.

At different price points, and all under $1000 too, here are the best watches that your money can get you – and why.

1. Tissot Unisex Viso Date Swiss Watch

  • Case Size: 40.00 mm, Band Width: 20 mm, Case Thickness: 11.60 mm
  • Swiss automatic movement, 316L stainless steel case, Index dial...
  • Stainless steel bracelet, Jewelry clasp with safety closure
  • Water-resistant up to a pressure of 3 bar (30 m / 100 ft):...

What You’ll Love

Tissot is the official timekeeper of many reputable bodies (NBA, FIBA, Tour de France, etc) so they are no strangers to quality.

There are no stones nor diamonds on this watch, but the allure and luster of the polished stainless steel cannot be missed. Swiss watches are of a fine make and quality than most other brands on the market, so that is something else for you to think about.

A closer look at the visodate exposes all the attention to detail that went into the design. From the gently curved dial mirrors to the dome-shaped sapphire glass, Tissot brings some classical elements into the contemporary watch world.

At 40mm, the case is not too big for smaller wrists – which is a category that most women fall into.

2. Invicta Women’s 21397 Pro Diver’s Watch

  • Japanese quartz movement, PC32A Caliber; Assembled in Japan;...
  • Gold tone stainless steel band, 205mm L x 18mm W; Band is...
  • Mineral crystal; Push/pull crown; Stationary stainless steel...

What You’ll Love

If you have once wondered how Invicta can sell their watches for cheaper, you will wonder that again here.

First impressions of this watch trick you into believing it costs more than you’ll end up paying for it. We cannot shake the fact that it shares some design elements with a Rolex Explorer. That contributes to the style and quality that this unique quartz watch brings to the table.

On the surface is a collection of small crystals worked into the watch frame for a look of luxury. The crystals stand out right against the gold-plated metal bracelet which extends to a quality fold-over clasp on the back.

With the ‘diver’ tag in the name, we went digging and saw that this pick can be used to as much as 200m underwater. In other words, it will handle its well with most water activities (except scuba diving).

3. Michael Kors Whitney Watch (with Glitz Accents)

Michael Kors has been here since 1981, so we don’t think they are one of those brands that will need an introduction. However, allow us to reintroduce this amazing watch from the horologer to you.

The watchmaker decked out the entire watch with glitz accents that speaks of true luxury. They were able to get these accents into the watch face also without compromising the functionality and legibility of the watch itself. Extending all around the front while sparing the back of the clasps only, this design element is a testament to a brand that knows what it’s doing.

A system of three chronographs makes the watch more functional than being just another timepiece. Besides those chronographs is a date complication to round off the features on the watch face.

The biggest downside we found to this watch is how it could be bigger for most women. Since it lacks a bezel, it would also ‘wear big,’ so don’t forget that when making a consideration on this one.

4. Bulova Dress Watch 98R241

  • mother of pearl

  • sapphire crystal
  • Band width: 18.0 millimeters

What You’ll Love

It will interest you to know that Rolex and Omega do not have a monopoly on the luxury dress watch market. Not when Bulova has something to say about it.

Not every day do we find a watch that fits so right, doesn't overdo the design, and still classifies as a dress watch under a luxury pick. At the price range that we found this guy at, it is almost a steal.

Going for predominantly white color is bold. The gold detailing and accents continue the design, right up to the point where a generous number of crystals are sprinkled around the watch face for effect. At 37mm, we don’t think most women will have an issue with the fitting of this watch.

The mother-of-pearl inner dial extends the promise of quality and luxury that this watch started with. Extending to a highly simplistic finish on the ceramic frame, we don’t know why you don’t have this watch resting in your collection yet.

The best women’s watches under $1000 should have a smartwatch that fits the right criteria too.

The Apple Watch series are common already – and you must have considered one if you have an iOS device. However, they do not have the everyday design of a traditional watch which can make them limited for your sense of style.

Movado uniquely solves that problem.

Offering Google’s WearOS, they work well with just about any Android device you throw at them, they will even pair with iPhones to a good degree.

The activity trackers embedded in the watch help you stay on top of your health game. That, combined with the heart rate sensors, are one of the finest additions to the watch.

Pairing to your device via Bluetooth also ensures you never have to miss any notifications anymore. All of your calls, messages, texts, and other notifications get streamed directly to you without having to lift your phone at all.

Combined with the possibility to pay for goods and services from your watch only, this watch pays for itself over time.

What You’ll Love

Seiko is known for first introducing the quartz and kinetic watch movements, so we trust them enough to be on this list also.

Even if they weren't known for that, they have impressed with this solar-powered watch which is as beautiful as it is functional. Imagine wearing a beautiful timepiece that can last for 12-months on a single full charge. Note that every time you wear it out also, the watch is getting charged in the process.

At 22mm, the watch frame might sound too small. We have found out that is not the case. In fact, the choice of case diameter size ensures more women can get in on this beauty.

Seiko is not one to give up the chance to make a small statement with its watches. Embedding Swarovski crystals along the watch face and bracelets is how they get that done. That, and the amazing twist and turns to form the bracelet itself.

7. Tissot Women’s PR 100 Sport

Of what use is a slightly expensive luxury watch that you can only wear a couple of times in the year for fear of ruining it? That is not good value for money if you ask us.

Tissot feels the same, informing their decision to make a quality timepiece like this one.

The design element on the watch speaks of quality in many ways.

From the surface, the choice of stainless-steel material used here is different from the cheap ones. The stainless steel is further coated in a combination of silver-tone base and gold detailing for more effects. That runs around the watch to the jewelry clasp area.

On the watch face is a system of three chronographs and a date window at the 4-o-clock mark.

For durability, Tissot throws in a scratch resistance sapphire glass on the watch face. At 100m of water resistance rating too, it is little wonder why the watchmaker is confident this one can be worn daily without regret.

8. Bulova Women’s Silver Automatic Watch (96P181)

What You’ll Love

This is not the first time that Bulova will make this list and they are still not disappointing either.

From the packaging to what resides inside the black box, is a touch of class.

On the watch is a smooth silver-tone that promises to keep its metallic shine and luster for years to come. We don’t see why this won’t work as an everyday watch that won’t fall victim to flimsy damage and excuses.

The watch face is simplistic yet elegant, accentuated by the small cut-out which gives a peek into what goes on beneath the watch dials. The beauty does not end there, given the exhibition case back that shows off more of the watch’s design.

Bulova opted for the same domed sapphire crystal form on the front here. That follows the first and also applies the classical-contemporary crossover to this unit. With a 40-hour power reserve to boot, you might need an automatic watch winder if you’ll be leaving this unit unattended for more time than that.

At 40mm, you won’t have a problem with watch legibility or proper fit. We love that this watch has a bezel, allowing for slightly smaller hands to feel right at home here. After all, it will wear smaller than it is, giving more women the chance to get in on this fine piece.

But what makes it fine?

A combination of premium stainless steel with a three-link bracelet and a diamond crystal-crested bezel on top of the silvery tone finish, for one. The watch does one more by combining ceramic material with stainless steel for the bezel finish. On top of that, we have three evenly-spaced chronographs on the inside to contribute to this watch’s beauty.

Citizen is rated for its Eco-Drive line in how they are not needing a battery to work. As long as the watch is exposed to a light source, it doesn't fail to keep time.

Backed by a name that has been in the business for years also, there is no going wrong here.

What You’ll Love

The Movado that we recommended above might not fit into the style of most women. You can still get another stylish, elegant, and amazing smartwatch under $1000 (even under $400) on the Fossil Women’s Gen 4 Venture HR watch.

Take a look at the image above and you’ll agree that this is a fine watch. It doesn’t even look like a smartwatch until you look at it, making it better for everyday wearing also. Speaking of everyday usage, the straps can be easily swapped between different materials (rubber, leather, metal) for a different look every time.

When the watch is not busy keeping time, it is focused on you. Everything from your sleep cycle to activity sessions is tracked.

Get to know how many steps you are taking, keep an eye on your calorie intake, and improve your health while staying on time. Even when you are not looking, the watch is keeping tabs on your heart rate.

There is simply a lot of heart and watch in this one if we do say so.

Rounding off the best women’s watches under $1000 is a rugged piece – as is expected of units coming out of Casio’s stables.

This is a great watch for women who spend time outdoors or have extremely demanding job types. You can rest assured that your wristwatch can take on the kind of job at hand without suffering damage.

Every unit of the GG-1000 is a shock resistance pick with mud-resistant buttons and casing. The watch is sealed down so tight, it can hold its own against water up to depths of 200m.

The watch is also outfitted with sensors for marking temperature and running a compass. We would have loved to see an altimeter and/ barometer also but we let it pass since we are not primarily considering hiking/ outdoor watches here.

With a promised battery life of two years, you are good to go on this watch.

It’s Your Pick

We can only try – but the ultimate choice of which is the best watch under the thousand-dollar price range rests on your shoulders.

Up there, we have explored traditional watches and a couple of smartwatches that do not stand out oddly. We have also picked those wristwatches with obvious crystal patterns and those that are more laidback. Everybody is different in the kind of statements they like their watches to make, anyway.

Now that we have all that covered, which of these watches will you rather have? Click through to read more user reviews on them and see if it’s worth your money also.
