Astute WYCA readers have noted, the past eight watches I examined were provided by Certified Watch Store, an internet watch merchant with headquarters in the USA. I contacted them in October and requested that they give us watches to evaluate in return for mentions in our publications and videos. Since then, they've been a terrific partner and I've had the chance to try out several fantastic timepieces that I'd never been able to own.
About a month ago, CWT gave me four timepieces from their premium line, Jones New York. JNY is a name for low-cost quartz watches with an emphasis on fashion and flair. The watches are thus pretty typical quartz timepieces; they are powered by quartz movements supplied from Japan and are constructed of low-quality components.
