The Hamilton Jazzmaster Open Heart is a traditional timepiece that has become an icon for the brand’s aesthetic. This watch comes with a unique case design, color scheme, and embellishments to create something truly exceptional.

The “hamilton jazzmaster open heart reddit” is a watch that has been released by Hamilton. The watch has an analog dial with a date window and quartz movement.

Who Doesn’t Love a Dial with an Open Heart?

The special Jazzmaster Open Heart is made with the intention of letting the exposed movement speak for itself. Despite having an open heart dial, the Open Heart is a stylish and elegant timepiece that lacks any complexities. It has a strong construction and an ETA 2824-2 automatic movement. Recommended.

March 18, 2016 edit: I’ve added some photos of the white and rose gold version of the Open Heart. It is a way better looking version of the watch (in my opinion). The review was done of the black and steel version, which is mechanically the same watch.  I’d rate Aesthetics & Design for the white/rose gold version 85% (as opposed to the 70% I gave the black/steel version).

Regarding Hamilton

In 1892, Hamilton was established in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Hamilton, which has its current headquarters in Switzerland, is well-known in the watchmaking sector for producing dependable and fashionable clocks. Prices for Hamilton watches typically vary from $750 to $2,000.

I have a number of Hamilton watches, and I’ve usually had positive experiences with them.

Choosing a Time

The Jazzmaster Open Heart is incredibly simple to use since it lacks any complexity. The crown is used to set the time.

Setting the time:

  • Pulling the crown all the way back (position 2). To set the time, turn the crown counterclockwise.

Jazzmaster Open Heart Hamilton Aesthetics & Design

The Open Heart, at 40mm, seems undersized on my wrist. The Open Heart has a modest case size and is also fairly thin. It looks terrific in a business casual situation and tucks effortlessly under cuffs.

Although this Jazzmaster has an open heart display, it doesn’t seem excessive. The only color on the otherwise monochrome dial comes from two vividly colored gems shown in the open heart at 12 and 7. The group as a whole is understated.

I applaud Hamilton’s decision to maintain practical style. The overstyled looks of many open heart clocks make it difficult to really read the time on them. Despite that, I wish Hamilton had added more roughness to the dial; I feel it to be too flat.

Hamilton Jazzmaster Build Quality With An Open Heart

The Open Heart is another excellent watch that Hamilton makes. Inside and exterior, every Hamilton that I have examined thus far has had consistently high quality craftsmanship.

Case, Crystal, and Dial

The stainless steel casing is comfortable to hold. The weight provides the Jazzmaster a high-quality feel and is probably suitable for the majority of users. It doesn’t seem delicate. That sense also has a lot to do with the sapphire crystal. It features an anti-reflective coating and a fantastic appearance (despite what my photos show).

Clasp and Strap

The strap is a typical Hamilton piece and is made of black crocodile grain leather. It rests close to the lugs. When clasped, it is pleasant to wear, even for extended periods of time. I can wear it without discomfort for many hours.

The clasp is made of high-quality stainless steel. After many weeks of use, it begins to exhibit regular wear.

The Jazzmaster Open Heart Hamilton in More Detail

Movement

The Swiss-made ETA 2824-2 movement powers the Jazzmaster Open Heart Hamilton. Millions of watches are powered by this movement, which has high regard in the business for both its dependability and accuracy.

The automated ETA 2824-2 movement has 25 jewels and a maximum daily fluctuation of around 15 seconds (meaning the watch may gain or lose up to 15 seconds of time per day).

It is reasonable to say that the ETA 2824-2 is dependable.

Worth the Money

Depending on the edition you choose, The Open Heart usually sells for roughly $650 on Amazon, which is a reasonable price. The materials and construction quality are unquestionably appropriate at that price range. This Hamilton will remain beautiful for a very long time with careful maintenance.

The Jazzmaster’s quality is superior to comparable open heart/skeleton watches you’ll find in the sub-$1,000 price bracket, in my opinion. For much less than $250, you may get a Stuhrling, but they won’t feature sapphire crystals or be powered by Swiss movements.

It is reasonably priced and well-made in comparison to similar products. For those reasons, I often advise others to purchase Hamilton watches.
